As you all know, frame browsing was removed from Mikuchan and has been replaced with the upper popup navigation menus. However this has rendered a few things in the negative. First and foremost, we have lost the IRC advertisements that were to remain constant across the boards. Secondly, it is no longer clear for users to determine where they are on the network without looking at the address bar when using the popup navigation menus. /temp/ - Off Topic is supposedly an area for Mikuchan to discuss improvements or changes for this chan specifically (additional 'off topic'), but is blurred by the inclusion of other network boards in the menus. This also means our global rules may overlap with another board on another network and cause issues. Thirdly, it has made navigation more tedious, being forced to scroll up to the top in order to use the menu. My suggestion is re-defaulting to frames whilst retaining the above navigation menu. The frames, as default by the software contains 'Remove Frames' on the menu. Whether or not it is constant would depend on it's use of cookies, if it does at all. Ultimately, I will ask that the community please express how they're finding the current navigation setup, as the majority will help us in deciding how we set things up for you guys.
I honestly like the top bar more than the side bar, but I agree with Miku about making navigation more difficult. Would it be possible to make the top menu scroll with the page (similar to how some advertisements scroll with the page on certain websites)? also, making tabs from different websites colored differently could help navigation as well as help users know where they're going (although I think banners tend to do a good job covering that) lastly, the frame is still accessible through this link http://www.mikuchan.org/frames.php
